Giving Back this Thanksgiving in the Plymouth Community.

‘Meals on Wheels’ supports over 5,000 communities across the United States!

1. Call a ‘Meals on Wheels’ in your area: This organization provides nutritious meals to seniors all year long, especially during the holidays! The Plymouth resource for ‘Meals on Wheels’ is the Center for Active Living.

2. Donate Food items or Volunteer at a Food Pantry: During the holidays, food pantries see a huge influx of volunteers. Check first to see if it's your time or essential products that they need. Locally, the Plymouth Area Coalition can give guidance and direction.

3. Help out at a soup kitchen: Again, some may be over capacity for in-person volunteering, but chances are they will be in need of assistance preparing for the big holiday push.

4. Find or Start a Clothing Drive: Thanksgiving marks the start of the colder weather. Warm clothes are desperately needed by many. Check with schools, businesses and local churches to see about a clothing drive near you.

5. Look Around Your Community: Charity begins at the local level! Don’t forget to view your community boards, social media sites and town bulletins for the areas of greatest need.
